Aim of the research project IWARD is to create a robot team performing ward-related operational functionalities in hospitals.

IWARD stands for 'Intelligent Robot Swarm for Attendance, Recognition, Cleaning and Delivery'. IWARD is funded by the European Commission in the Sixth Framework Programme. The Proposal/Contract number is FP6-2005-IST-6-045254.

The project's objectives are given by the aims of the Information Society Technologies (IST) Work Programme. IWARD is part of the work programme's activity "Advanced Robotics".
